Safety & Policies

The public rules that help keep the marketplace trustworthy.

Marketplace standards

Listings should describe gadgets clearly, use accurate images, state condition honestly and avoid misleading prices or claims.

Report problems

  1. 1Open the relevant product, seller, message or community area.
  2. 2Use the available report/support action.
  3. 3Describe the issue accurately and include useful details.
  4. 4Do not include passwords or authentication codes in a report.

Policies

For formal rules, use the Terms, Privacy, Returns, Shipping, Community Standards and other policy pages linked from the Gadget Trade website.

Before you meet or collect an item

  1. 1Choose a sensible public or approved pickup location where possible.
  2. 2Tell someone you trust about the arrangement when appropriate.
  3. 3Keep the product and transaction details available.
  4. 4Do not carry out a payment outside the agreed process because of pressure from another user.
  5. 5Leave and contact support if the situation feels unsafe.

Product safety

Do not continue using a gadget that is visibly damaged in a way that could create a safety risk. Ask the seller or support for clarification before attempting a repair or modification that could affect a return or dispute.

Fraud prevention

Be cautious of fake payment screenshots, urgent requests, impersonation and links that imitate sign-in or payment pages. Confirm important transaction events inside the official order or account experience.

Reporting

Report suspicious listings, accounts, messages and community content. Useful reports identify the specific item or account and explain what happened without adding unrelated accusations.
