Gadget Trade Ad Manager

A complete guide to planning, creating, reviewing, publishing and managing paid advertising on Gadget Trade.

What Ad Manager is

Gadget Trade Ad Manager is the dedicated advertising workspace for eligible sellers, businesses and creators. It connects campaign setup, creative, audience selection, budget, placement selection, final previews, payment, review and campaign management in one flow. Advertising does not bypass Gadget Trade marketplace, safety, account or content rules.

Public Ad Manager landing page

The public entry point explains the advertising product before sign-in. The production subdomain is intended to be adsmanager.gadgettrade.com.ng. From the landing page, users can start a campaign, sign in to the campaign workspace, read Ad Manager documentation and open the Gadget Trade Developer Portal when they need technical integration information.

Get started

  1. 1Open Ad Manager and select Get Started or Start Now.
  2. 2Sign in or create a Gadget Trade account when prompted.
  3. 3Open the campaign workspace and choose Create campaign.
  4. 4Complete every campaign step before payment: objective, details, creative, audience, budget/schedule and placements.
  5. 5Review the final campaign preview carefully.
  6. 6Submit payment through the supported Gadget Trade checkout.
  7. 7Publish the campaign for review.
  8. 8Monitor the campaign from Ad Manager and the campaign settings area.

Campaign objectives

  • Awareness / reach — increase exposure among an eligible audience.
  • Traffic — send people to a supported Gadget Trade destination.
  • Engagement — encourage views, reactions, messages or other supported interactions.
  • Leads — generate enquiries from interested users.
  • Sales — promote products or destinations with a purchase-oriented goal.

Accepted advertising

Advertising should promote lawful, accurately described products, services, businesses, creators or marketplace experiences that Gadget Trade can safely host. Creative should match the destination, use truthful claims, show accurate pricing where price is displayed, avoid misleading before/after claims, avoid impersonation and respect intellectual-property rights. A campaign must not be used to distribute malware, phishing pages, fraudulent offers, fake receipts, counterfeit goods, stolen goods, illegal products, abusive content or deceptive financial/payment requests.

Creative requirements

  1. 1Use media you have the right to publish.
  2. 2Keep the headline and description consistent with the destination.
  3. 3Do not hide important conditions or fees.
  4. 4Use clear product imagery that represents the advertised item or offer.
  5. 5Avoid excessive text, deceptive buttons or visual elements that imitate system warnings.
  6. 6Check every destination link before submitting the campaign.
  7. 7Make sure the selected creative still makes sense in each selected placement.

Audience and targeting

Audience controls are intended to help advertisers describe the people they want to reach. Suggestions can be broad or category-specific, but audience suggestions are not a guarantee of delivery. Do not use advertising to discriminate unlawfully, expose private information, target people using sensitive personal information, or make claims about a person’s private characteristics.

Placements

The final preview should show the eligible surfaces selected for the campaign, such as supported homepage/featured areas, marketplace product placements and GT Reels where the campaign configuration permits them. Automatic placement can be used when an advertiser does not need a specific surface. Availability of a placement depends on the campaign type, creative, audience, platform rules and current product configuration.

Final campaign preview

Before publication, Ad Manager provides a review stage designed to resemble the actual Gadget Trade surfaces where the campaign may appear. The preview should show the selected creative, headline, description, call-to-action, destination, audience summary, budget/schedule and placement context. A preview is representative: it does not guarantee an exact future position, audience, impression count or rendering on every device.

Budget, schedule and payment

The campaign builder validates the selected total budget, optional daily budget and schedule before submission. Payment is verified server-side before a paid campaign is created. A successful payment does not guarantee approval, delivery volume, reach, clicks or sales. Keep the payment reference and campaign record if support is needed.

Review and approval

Paid campaigns can enter a review state before active delivery. Review checks can consider the creative, destination, product or service, claims, audience, placement, account standing and applicable Gadget Trade policies. A campaign can be rejected, paused or removed when it does not meet the applicable requirements.

If a campaign is rejected

When a reviewer rejects a campaign, Gadget Trade can attach a review note describing the issue and the change that should be made. Open the campaign record or contact Support with the campaign ID if you need help understanding the decision. Fix the identified issue before submitting a new or revised campaign. Nova can explain the rejection note when that note is available to your signed-in account.

Common rejection reasons

  • Misleading or unsupported claims.
  • Creative does not match the advertised destination or product.
  • Counterfeit, stolen, restricted or prohibited goods.
  • Fraud, phishing, fake offers or payment redirection.
  • Impersonation or use of another brand’s identity without permission.
  • Broken, unsafe or non-HTTPS destination links.
  • Copyright, trademark or image-rights concerns.
  • Spam-like, abusive, hateful or unsafe creative.
  • Pricing, availability or promotional terms that are materially inconsistent with the destination.
  • Account or marketplace restrictions that prevent the advertiser from using the feature.

Campaign status meanings

  • Draft — saved but not submitted for paid delivery.
  • Pending review — submitted and awaiting review.
  • Active — approved and eligible for delivery.
  • Paused — delivery is temporarily stopped.
  • Scheduled — approved/configured for a future run where supported.
  • Completed — the scheduled campaign period has ended.
  • Rejected — the campaign was not approved; review notes should explain the issue when provided.

Managing a live campaign

  1. 1Open Ad Manager or Settings → Campaigns.
  2. 2Review status, objective, audience, placement, budget and schedule.
  3. 3Use available controls to pause or resume when supported.
  4. 4Review performance metrics such as impressions, clicks, shares and attributable orders when those events are available.
  5. 5Keep creative and destination information current.
  6. 6Contact Support if a campaign status or billing record appears inconsistent.

Performance and delivery

Campaign metrics are records of observed platform activity, not promises of business results. Delivery can vary because of audience availability, placement capacity, user activity, creative quality, campaign settings, budget and platform safety controls.

Safety, privacy and account access

Never place passwords, one-time codes, card PINs, CVVs, private account credentials or other secrets in campaign creative, headlines, public destinations or ordinary messages. Advertising access follows the account’s applicable permissions and safety status. Nova may explain the current account or campaign status to the signed-in account, but it must not expose private data belonging to another user.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I create a campaign?+

Open Gadget Trade Ad Manager or use the Create Campaign flow available to your account. The documentation and campaign workspace guide you through the setup steps before payment and review.

Does paying for a campaign guarantee approval?+

No. Payment confirms the supported checkout step; the campaign can still enter review and may be rejected, paused or removed if it does not meet the applicable advertising, marketplace or safety requirements.

Can I change my campaign after publishing?+

Use the campaign management controls available for the campaign status. Some fields may require a new or revised campaign rather than editing an active campaign directly.

Why was my campaign rejected?+

Open the campaign record and review the available review note. Common issues include unsupported claims, mismatched creative and destination, prohibited products, broken links, intellectual-property concerns and account restrictions.

Can Nova explain my campaign status?+

Yes. When the relevant campaign record and review information are available to your signed-in account, Nova can explain the status and the next practical step without exposing another user’s private campaign information.

Where can I read the advertising rules?+

Use the Campaign Policies and the full Gadget Trade Ad Manager documentation. The Ad Manager guide also explains creative, audience, placement, payment, review, rejection and campaign-management requirements.
